6) SCCCS initiated Survey
Title: Survey on climate change and environmental awareness among pre-university and undergrad students
The Centre is currently leading a cross-national survey along with various institutions in India on the perception of climate change and environmental issues among pre-university and undergrad students. The aim is to understand the younger society’s knowledge, concepts, and concerns on various environmental issues and climate change based on their views and demography. The survey was collected online over a span of 6 months. The demography of the participants covers all the parts of the country viz. North, East, West, South, Central, and North Eastern regions. Students from 56 institutions participated in the survey with 2180 respondents. The ages ranged from 15 to 50 with an average of 19.8 years.
