Research Interests and Expertise:
She received a Master’s in Microbiology from Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya (A Central
University), Sagar M.P., with a specialization in Microbiology and Biotechnology. Her M.Sc.
dissertation project was focused on the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles using leaf
extract from Parthenium hysterophorus and Asparagus racemosus. In SCCCS, she is working
on the concept of Climate change and Candidiasis in the human population.

Afshan received her Master’s in Zoology from Patna Science College, Patna University, Bihar, with specialisation in Cell and Molecular Biology. She is keen to investigate the effects of different phytochemicals in controlling microbial infections. She is also interested in understanding the impact of climate change on the spread of zoonosis, an infection that spreads from animal to human). (Specialisation in Cell and Molecular Biology)
